Oregon, you're a beauty.

I'm not a "spur of the moment" kind of gal, all though I do envy those that are. Especially when it comes to taking trips. Well, one Wednesday in June, I bought a plane ticket to Portland to visit my in-laws, and left the next MORNING. Woah.

Little miss was an angel on the plane. Despite the fact that nap time was long overdue.  My sis in law gave me some tips for flying with a busy, WALKING one-year old..and apparently stickers are all the rage these days. Well for Callie anyway. GENIUS.

When I bought my ticket I had NO idea that Callie's only cousin would be there too! They had never met before, so this was quite a treat!

And obviously when you have 2 girl cousins, only a month apart, you buy matching clothes. (Thanks grandma!)

Emily Jane & Callie Jane

These two dolls loved playing on the little cars.

And it was adorable.

Also, having young sister in laws is a DREAM.

Diego was missing his boy, Cameron.

Of course, a proper trip to Oregon requires some Dutch Bros...mmmmm.

Peach Mango with extra whipped cream pleasseeee!

Fun at the park!

This grandma was in HEAVEN with her two and only grandbabes.

She was cranky because I made her stay in her stroller instead of dive head first in the duck pond.
I'm not exaggerating.

Husband-less for the week.

Rawr.

She teased the kitties so much that by the end of the trip they would run away if Callie entered the room.

Just a lil' pampering with the ladies.

Now THIS, I had to document.  Mostly so Cam would believe it. Callie used to be the best snuggler in the land.  Until we slept train her.. Then the only place she would sleep was in her bed. Well....this flight didn't go ANYTHING like the first flight. Nap time was when we arrived at the air port. You know, BEFORE the long baggage check, and security line? Oh ya, and waiting to board. By the time the plane took off this girl had  HAD it.

I've endured 7/7 flights where she was an angel.

My nightmare finally came true and she was so beyond tired that she was SCREAMING. For 20 minutes. I finally got up and went in the bathroom so I could avoid the staring from annoyed passengers. She laid on my chest in the bathroom and finally calmed down, so I went back to my seat. She got upset again once I sat down, so I whipped my phone out to show her videos of herself (she loves this), and LITERALLY 30 seconds later she was out cold. VICTORY. And she slept the rest of the flight.
