Callie's Birthday Party

We had a small birthday celebration the week before Callie's actual birthday.  We had to leave for California, so we wanted to celebrate with family and friends before we left. I still can't believe I have a one year old.

Now, enjoy 100 pictures.

I'm obsessed with this high chair my mom found.

Let's pray I got her genes, and look this good when I'm a grandma.

She LOVES her sippy.

So..about this penguin.. It's hideous. And my mom only got it because my little brother is serving his mission in the most Southern mission in the world, Osorno, Chile, and there are penguins there. Well, Callie LOVES it. And it's so so so ugly.

Giving him kisses.

But don't ever take the penguin away...

Seriously, don't.

All better.

We like her.

She decided her hands were slowing her down...

Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us!!

He's cute.

The damage.

Sugar crash.

So we tried the whole parenting thing for a year, and decided to keep her. :)

Goodbye, Rexburg.

Big stuff happening for the Harper Fam.
My husband accepted an offer from Vanguard in Scottsdale, Arizona...and we are THRILLED.
Mostly because we loooovveee us some sunshine.

We moved from Rexburg to California last week, so Cam can do summer sales before we begin our adventure in Arizona.

Here are some things that I learned:

Packing is the WOORRSSSTT. I was sooo stressed out, that the entire 3 weeks before we left I was sick, and then I got better for two days in between, which gave me enough energy to be stressed out again, so naturally, I got sick again. Oh, and Cam and Callie got sick too.. so, I wasted a lot of very precious packing and cleaning time snuggling. (I really didn't mind.)

I'll miss Rexburg. This surprised me. I moved to Rexburg 7 years ago, my Junior year of High School, and it was a really hard adjustment to make. I remember thinking MANY times that I couldn't wait to leave.
Well, I cried like a baby when I locked and shut my apartment door, leaving the keys on the counter.
I'll be indebted to Rexburg for the rest of my life.
I met life-long friends there.
I fell in love for the very first and only time in my life there.
I became a mother there.

Until next time, Rexburg.

Lover's Day

You should all be so proud...I'm only 2 weeks late on this post.

Anyway, Valentine's Day this year was THE best.  I've loved this holiday for as long as I can remember.  My mom always made it special for us, and I loved decorated our own boxes in school...and I distinctively remember carefully choosing the right Valentine for each kid in my class... and trying to not give the weird kid one that was too mushy..... (No judgment, we all did it.)

I loved having TWO Valentines to love on this year.

My mom's still the cutest...and sent her grand baby an ADORABLE package.
Grandma Harper sent a sweet package too, I just forgot to take a pic. :(

Valentine Craft.

Heart-shaped food on V-day is a must!

Cream cheese stuffed french toast.... I'm drooling.

Eating breakfast with dad.

Is this not the most darling thing you've ever seen?

First Valentine's Day together in 2011.

We made it a tradition after our 1st Heart Day together to go to Texas Roadhouse every year.
1. Because the thought of their rolls makes me salivate.
2. Because we're adorable and sentimental and whatever...

Well, after 3 years of that... this year, we didn't want to worry about getting a babysitter, especially when the only people around here we know are married... So.. I cooked, and we had a jolly good time stuffing our faces.

I made the Mr. watch T.V. while I cooked, so it would be a surprise... (Worst wife ever huh?)  I also told him that if he didn't like it, to pretend he did...because it took me HOURS.

He loved it.

Garlic marinated steak, wrapped in bacon, stuffed with feta.

Mini heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches, with tomato basil bisque.

Potato skins, and heart shaped pizza's.

Veggies...(These were not touched...oops!)

 Miami Vice's

I don't have an individual picture, but we also had egg rolls, taquitos, spinach and artichoke dip, grilled shrimp, and sushi.

It was quite the feast!

For obvious reasons, I'll spare you other mushy details of our evening...but if you wives are in need of an awesome (and cheap) idea for next V-day...or even an Anniversary... Refer to this:

You can thank me later.

So...yes, we love Valentines Day, and each other. A lot.
